Ode to Pretty Woman; Over the Knee Boots
Once upon a time these boots were daring, worn only by pirates and bad girls.
Thigh High Boots
Thanks to Julia Roberts thigh high boots, especially black patent stilettos lost their dark side and became as endearing as the Ruby slippers. Those were pretty fab but you can’t wear those everywhere either.
Thanks to one of the latest boot trends you don’t have to be a bad girl or a pirate. While these boots catch my eye all the time, they probably won’t be in my fall 2010 wardrobe. I just don’t think I can work them right. Some gals just have “it”. They can pull these thigh high boots off like a comfy pair of sneakers.
You can defiantly call me a closet fan of these boots. I guess I could wear them under jeans, trousers or skirt but the whole point would be missed. These boots look so high fashion chic over skinny jeans in black and absolutely adorable with winter shorts or a mini in tan suede over bare legs or tights.
If you’re adding a pair of these fabulous boots to your wardrobe, be sure to do some shopping and check out some fabrications that are a bit out of the usual black leather like: stretch fabric, snake, fringed and of course, patent leather. Also consider a fun or unusual color like mustard, grey or something bright. Check out some of these thigh high boot styles:
